Non-hydraulic lime plasters do not contain any additives that cause it to harden quickly. They rely on a slow carbonation process to cure, gaining strength over time and providing many benefits. It is more flexible compared to hydraulic lime plasters, this allows for better moisture regulation and reduces the risk of trapped moisture causing damage to the underlying structure. It has excellent workability, making it easier to apply and shape. Additionally, non-hydraulic lime plaster has a lower carbon footprint as it requires less energy in its production compared to hydraulic alternatives.
