Internal Wall Insulation System for Bathrooms or Basements
Cork is naturally highly moisture and rot resistant. This makes it an ideal choice for insulating both bathrooms and basements (in the right circumstances*) below ground level, where internal moisture levels may be high or external factors limit the breathability of the existing fabric.
This robust and effective insulation system build-up consists of cork boards over a lime levelling plaster and lime bonding coat. A meshed base coat is then applied to the internal wall, which is finished with RK70 lime plaster.
- * IMPORTANT – Cork insulation is suitable for basement applications where there isn’t hydrostatic pressure, and the water table is well below the ground level of the basement (1 – 1.5m). Please speak to our technical department before proceeding.
