Natural hydraulic lime (NHL) is used to create plasters and mortars which are particularly well suited for use on ‘traditional’ buildings where the application needs to be sympathetic to the fabric of the building. The use of NHL is usually far kinder to the existing building fabric than a sand/cement mix.

Natural hydraulic lime is produced from limestone which contains clay and other impurities which give a faster initial set time in wet conditions and will even set under water.
