Pavaflex plus 36 (sometimes referred to as as Comfort or Confort) is a flexible flexible, natural and ecological thermal insulation board based on wood fibre, which is easy to install between rafters, studs, and joists. Featuring an improved thermal conductivity (λ), Pavaflex Plus is placed between rafters, girders and beams of floors, walls and roofs. The high thermal performance and heat accumulating capacity together with the convenient size, makes the board the ideal solution. The boards must be protected against weather after installation. Always consult the local regulations and installation guidelines of the manufacturer.
- Nice to work with – Our Pavaflex wood fibre insulation won’t irritate the skin like some other types of insulation on the UK market.
- Thermal protection in winter – Because of its low thermal conductivity (0.036) PAVAFLEX Plus 36 will minimize heat loss, which in turn will mean lower energy costs.
- High density – One of the major benefits of Pavaflex wood fibre insulation compared to other flexible insulations is its performance in summer. Thanks to its high thermal mass and specific heat capacity, Pavaflex will store heat and release it slowly. This leads to a more pleasant and consistent temperature throughout the day. See our Blog post about prevention of summertime overheating using wood fibre.
- Breathable – Pavaflex Plus 36 is highly vapour-permeable. Vapour will escape through the building fabric to the exterior. Constructions with Pavaflex and wood fibre boards are more resistant to damage through trapped moisture as it is allowed to escape the building through the vapour permeable materials.
- Sound protection – Thanks to its structure, Pavaflex insulation helps lower the effects of excessive noise. Noise is kept outside and you can therefore enjoy a quieter indoor atmosphere!
- Sustainable and eco-friendly– Made from waste wood, Pavaflex insulation promotes a responsible use of natural resources, low energy use and a positive CO2 balance. Thanks to the natural constituents, Pavaflex products at the end of their life can be recycled, composted or even incinerated for energy production.
Don’t forget to order an insulation knife if you don’t already have one! It’ll make your life much easier if you need to cut any of the insulation batts!
