Timber Floor System – Insulated Between & Under Joists

This simple floor insulation system will allow you to effectively insulate between and under the joists beneath a timber floor.

ADB breathable wind tightness membrane is laid and connected to the walls using airtightness tape around the perimeter. Then a layer of Isolair Multi fixes to the under-side of the floor joists, before filling between the joists with a flexible insulation such as Pavaflex wood fibre or sheepwool. An airtightness layer then completes the build up before the timber floor is laid.
