ISOLAIR MULTI wood fibre insulation boards are the perfect insulation solution for both modern and traditional homes. This insulation is used on pitched roofs, ventilated facades, EWI, and internally on solid walls in combination with a lime plaster. With a high thermal mass and excellent moisture buffering properties, the benefits of wood fibre are far more than just its environmental sustainability.
Some of the benefits of using Pavatex Isolair.
• Hardwearing and Weather-Resistant – An Isolair insulation board can be exposed to the elements for as much as 3 months during construction. Waterproof according to EN 14964.
• Breathable – This vapour permeable insulation board allows vapour to escape through the building fabric. Using woodfibre boards will drastically reduce the chance of damage to building fabric from trapped moisture.
• Fire Safety: Pavatex Woodfibre is an excellent material to be used as part a fire-resistant strategy. A high-density insulation which can resist extremely high temperature for long periods, charring on the surface when exposed to flame, it will burn at a very slow rate, and does not release asphyxiant assess.
• Sound Protection – Perfect for the quiet life! – Most of the external noise is kept outside thanks to the special fibre structure within the board.
• Truly Sustainable – Isolair is made from unused wood from various manufacturing mills meaning this product promotes low energy use and a positive C02 balance. Because this product is made from natural materials it can be re-purposed or recycled at the end of its usable life.
• Thermal Buffering – Pavatex Isolair offers protection from Summertime overheating. Decrement delays of up to 12 hours are achievable. In practice this means that a more pleasant, consistent temperature is achieved over the course of the day as opposed to huge peaks and troughs in-line with external day and night-time temperatures.
• No Harmful Additives – Some insulation on the market will contain additives such formaldehyde and other VOC’s, but nothing harmful to the environment or humans is added during the manufacture of Isolair.

Carbon Locking
Isolair Multi will lock in carbon throughout its lifespan. C02 lock-up in excess of -40 Kg
CO2 eq / FU (A1-A3) at 0.15 u-value
The wood used to make these insulation boards is sourced from neighbouring sawmills from the waste material they can’t use.
Trees naturally capture CO2 from the atmosphere and lock it away as carbon. Increasing the use of sustainable wood products is one of the best ways to reduce the amount of C02 in the atmosphere.
The carbon from mature trees will be stored in buildings utilising timber building elements and other wood products after they are harvested.
The size of the European forest carbon sink continues to grow, as more trees are planted than get harvested. C02 emissions are greatly reduced when using sustainably sourced wood products as opposed to other C02 intensive materials.
