PAVADRY is a natural and ecological, thermal insulation board based on wood fibre bonded with an 11 mm OSB3 zero board for dry fit installation, essentially creating an insulated OSB board. The hygroscopic properties of the wood fibre, ensure a controlled moisture buffering which prevents the formation of damaging moisture. Always consult the local regulations and installation guidelines as well as the manufacturer’s recommended render systems.
• Multi-layer insulation board
• Moisture buffering properties for a pleasant indoor environment
• OSB3 has zero added formaldehyde

FAQs
PAVADRY Insulation Board FAQs
What is PAVADRY insulation board?
PAVADRY is a natural, ecological internal wall insulation board made from wood fibre, factory-bonded to an 11 mm OSB3 board with specific vapour permeability to suit the application. It is designed for installation on solid masonry walls where a dry lined finish is required, and provides thermal insulation alongside moisture buffering to help create a comfortable indoor environment.
What are the typical applications of PAVADRY boards?
PAVADRY is primarily used as an internal wall insulation system, particularly in refurbishment and retrofit projects. It is suitable for solid masonry walls where improved thermal performance, moisture regulation and airtightness are required.
What thicknesses are available for PAVADRY insulation boards?
PAVADRY boards are available in two standard build-ups:
• 51 mm total thickness comprising 40 mm wood fibre insulation plus 11 mm OSB3
• 71 mm total thickness comprising 60 mm wood fibre insulation plus 11 mm OSB3
These options allow different performance levels to suit project requirements.
What is the thermal conductivity of the PAVADRY insulation layer?
The wood fibre insulation layer has a declared thermal conductivity (λd) of 0.043 W/mK in accordance with EN 13171, providing reliable thermal performance for a natural insulation product.
How does PAVADRY manage moisture?
The wood fibre core is hygroscopic, meaning it can absorb and release moisture safely. This helps buffer indoor humidity, reduces the risk of surface and interstitial condensation and supports a healthier indoor climate when used within a breathable wall build-up.
Does PAVADRY contribute to airtightness?
Yes. The bonded OSB3 layer provides a robust and continuous surface that can contribute to airtightness when joints and junctions are correctly sealed using compatible tapes and membranes as part of a complete system.
What is the compressive strength of PAVADRY boards?
PAVADRY has a compressive strength of approximately 100 kPa at 10 percent deformation, making it suitable for typical loads encountered in internal wall insulation applications.
What is the fire performance classification of PAVADRY?
PAVADRY has a reaction to fire classification of Euroclass E under EN 13501-1, which is typical for wood fibre based insulation products used within protected internal wall assemblies.
Does the OSB3 layer contain formaldehyde?
No. The OSB3 board used in PAVADRY has zero added formaldehyde, making it suitable for use in healthy indoor environments.
Is PAVADRY an environmentally friendly insulation solution?
Yes. PAVADRY is manufactured using wood fibre sourced from sustainably managed forestry. It supports breathable construction, stores biogenic carbon and does not contain substances harmful to health or the environment.
How should PAVADRY boards be stored on site?
Boards should be stored flat on a level surface, kept dry and protected from weather and direct sunlight. No more than two pallets should be stacked on top of each other to avoid damage prior to installation.
