Unity Lime at Wood Build 2025

Wood Build 2025 took place between the 2nd and 4th of June and was hosted by Wood Knowledge Wales with support of key industry partners. The need for transformation in our built environment has never been greater. Timber and regenerative construction offer powerful solutions, but their success depends on collaboration across industries.
On the 2nd of June there were visits to various locations that are either part of the production of timber or utilise it in construction. This included 2 timber framers/developers that already utilise wood fibre insulation on their projects. https://unitylime.co.uk/maesyrhandir-newtown/
The main conference took place at a beautiful location in Llandudo on the 3rd and 4th of June.
The conference discussed key topics including:
- Principles for responsible timber construction
- Embodied carbon
- Wood in the built environment
- The future of forestry/woodland creation
- Designing and building with timber
- Sustainable schools for the future
The event was a success and Unity Lime were delighted to help by displaying a construction made entirely from Timber (Except for the fixings) featuring the following products by Pavatex/Fibrolith
We believe it is important that timber plays a central role in the future of the built environment. Timber is a regenerative resource, that we can manage responsibly in the UK to support local industry. There is very little waste in timber production with the final biproduct being used to create wood fibre insulation.
