SOPRAXPS 300 WI EN is a high-compressive-strength extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation board with a waffled surface designed to provide a suitable key for direct plaster application.
Manufactured using CO₂ technology, the board offers excellent thermal performance, low water absorption and a compressive strength of 300 kPa, making it suitable for demanding insulation applications including below-ground construction
SOPRAXPS 300 WI EN is a rigid thermal insulation board manufactured from extruded polystyrene foam.
Unlike smooth-faced XPS boards, SOPRAXPS 300 WI EN has a waffled surface, allowing plaster to be applied directly to the face where the overall system and plaster specification permit.
The board combines good thermal insulation performance with high compressive strength and very low water absorption, making it particularly suitable for areas where insulation may be exposed to increased moisture or mechanical loads.
Boards measure 1250 x 600 mm, giving a nominal area of 0.75 m² per board, and are available in a wide range of thicknesses.

Installation
For below-ground wall applications, SOPREMA recommends fixing the boards using a suitable adhesive.
Once installed, the boards should be protected immediately from:
• Weather exposure
• Direct sunlight
• Temperatures above 75°C
Installation should be carried out in accordance with the applicable building regulations and the requirements of the complete construction system.
Storage
Store SOPRAXPS 300 WI EN:
• On a flat surface
• In dry conditions
• Protected from sunlight
Away from temperatures exceeding 75°C
