Product Details
Product Overview:
Natural white, lime render with notable hydraulic additives. For internal and external use. Also suitable as a bonding coat on more challenging surfaces. It can be used over new substrates as well as prepared older surfaces. It’s high breathability makes it ideal for high moisture areas and can be finished in a range of techniques. Part of the Baumit Klima range of products for healthy living
Composition:
Sand, lime, hydraulic lime, trass lime and additives to improve workability and adhesion.
Properties:
A lime render which fulfils the physical and biological considerations within the built environment.
Easy to use lime render with a range of uses.
Once cured, the product has good bonding strength, is water vapour permeable and resistant to weathering, water ingress and frost penetration.
For use in external and internal areas.
Good for machine application, easy to apply and possible to create many textures.
Technical Data:
Reaction to fire: A2 s1 d0
Compression strength: 1.5 N/mm² – 5 N/mm²
Adhesive tensile strength: ≥ 0.08 N/mm²
μ-value: app. 5
Thermal conductivity: ≤ 0.820 W/mK
Application
Mixing:
Empty bag contents into clean water in a tub and mix with an electric hand mixer to a lump-free, creamy consistency. Alternatively, an appropriate render spraying machine can be used.
Leave to stand for 5 minutes and remix with the hand mixer.
Working time: approx. 1.5 hours.
Material which has started to set must not be remixed with water. Mixing with other products (e.g. anti-freeze or accelerating agents) is not permitted.
Basecoat and reinforcement:
Apply 4mm of Baumit Multifine RK70 N to Isolair Multi / Pavawall GF / StarTherm Nature insulation boards with a stainless steel notched trowel (10mm notches). Continuous sheets of StarTex reinforcing mesh should be lightly smoothed over with a stainless steel trowel until little to no mesh is visible, before applying the second pass “wet on wet”, free of creases and with 100mm overlapping edges. A further 2mm of Multifine RK 70 N is applied “wet on wet “over the embedded StarTex reinforcing mesh. The StarTex reinforcing mesh must be covered with at least 1mm of Multifine RK 70 N. Excessive trowelling is to be avoided. Trowel lines are to be removed after hardening. The overall basecoat thickness must be from 6mm – 10mm.
Topcoat finish:
Baumit MultiFine RK 70 N as a fine topcoat finish plaster is applied onto the basecoat and smoothed out flat with a trowel or spatula to a min. thickness of 2 mm. Upon setting the surface can be lightly rubbed over with a fine sponge float in tight circular motions to produce a fine, plain finish. A particularly smooth finish can be achieved by applying another thin coat of the contact mortar the following day. Other finishing techniques such as freestyle texturing, soft brushing etc. are also possible. A paint finish may be applied if required
Application Thicknesses:
Nominal thickness (mm): 6
Minimum thickness as topcoat (mm): 2
Maximum thickness (mm): 10

Classification according to the Chemicals Act
Gather the detailed classification from the Safety Data Sheet (according article 31 and annex II of the regulation No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and –Council from 18.12.2006) at www.baumit.com or request the Safety Data Sheet at the respective production plant.
Substrate:
Suitable substrates include lime/lime-cement render, various masonry types and Isolair Multi, Pavawall GF & StarTherm Nature insulation boards internally.
Peeling paint, lime wash, grease stains (from shuttering), other contaminants and film forming layers must be removed. Any cracks are to be scraped open with a pointed tool to form a “V“ groove.
High absorption substrates must be pre-treated with Baumit MultiPrimer.
Low suction substrates must be pre-treated with Baumit SuperPrimer.
Friable basecoats are to be pre-treated with a stabiliser such as Baumit SanovaPrimer.
Algae and mould growth must be removed with Baumit FungoFluid.
Substrate pre-treatment:
The substrate must be clean, dry, frost-proof, dust-free, not water repellent, free of efflorescence and free of loose part.
Associated Products:
Can be used as a topcoat layer onto Baumit MC55 W, Baumit RK 38, and Baumit RK 39.
Can be used as a reinforcement coat onto Baumit NHL Thermo, Baumit RK 38, and Baumit RK 39
Notes and General Information:
The air, material and background temperature must be above +5° C during application and curing. Protect the façade from direct sunlight, rain and strong winds (i.e. with scaffold nets).
In hot and/or windy weather dampen the finished work at regular intervals with a water mist sprayer to aid hydration. High air humidity and low temperatures can prolong drying times considerably.
Clean tools with water.
Protect other materials such as glass, ceramics or metal etc from contamination with appropriate coverings
