Wood fibre insulation board for internal and external use
Wood fibre Insulation Boards – high compressive strength board, can be applied on a Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) Structure, timber/Steel frame with an external OSB/Ply layer or on existing masonry structure to receive cladding battens (no brackets required).
Wood fibre insulation thickness and other requirements can vary depending on the specific application – please contact our technical department for guidance if you are unsure.
Also used as a secondary board to increase the thickness of primary Pavatex T&G insulation board such as Isolair & Pavatherm-Combi.
Must be protected with either Pavatex ADB breathable membrane or Pavatex weather resistance T&G insulation boards such as Isolair.
Board surface is not suitable for render or plaster. Can be used between studs and rafters

Application:
Roof – over or under rafter with a base (ply/OSB).
Wall – on to CLT, studs with a base or existing masonry.
Floor – between or under joints with a base.
For all the external application the boards must be protected by appropriate Pavatex primary external boards or breathable membrane.
Finishes – Subject to primary boards and application.
Fixed – Subject to primary boards and application.
Storage – Store dry and protected from damage. Only install when dry. Stack no more than 2 pallets on top of each other.

PAVATHERM is universal and multifunctional, suitable for thermal insulation in the roof, wall, facade and floor wherever breathable insulation performance is required.
The best specification for PAVATHERM boards is as a part of a build-up. The low cost of the PAVATHERM board allows you to build up to greater thicknesses in a cost-efficient way. It is recommended that the final layer is an appropriate T&G insulation board such as ISOLAIR Multi.
What thicknesses and sizes are available?
PAVATHERM boards are available in a range of thicknesses from 40 mm up to 240 mm. Standard board dimensions are 1100 mm x 600 mm, with the number of boards per pallet and total coverage varying by thickness.
40, 60, 80 & 100mm sizes are stocked in the UK.
How does PAVATHERM perform thermally?
PAVATHERM offers increasing thermal resistance (R-value) with board thickness:
• 40 mm: approx. 1.05 m²·K/W
• 80 mm: approx. 2.10 m²·K/W
• 120 mm: approx. 3.15 m²·K/W

Store PAVATHERM insulation boards on a flat surface, dry and protected from sunlight. Do not stack more than four pallets high to avoid damage.
